Lung transplantation

The Global Lung Transplant Anesthesiology and Critical Care Education Network was created in August 2023 by the Mayo Clinic Florida and the Foch Lung Transplant Team in France.

These conferences are held every 3rd Thursday of the month at 0630 Eastern Standard Time. It aims to provide educational content about lung transplantation anesthesia and critical care, highlighting a single topic in a succinct pedagogical format of 30-minute presentations :

  • 10 minutes case details presented by a resident/trainee mentored by a faculty
  • 10 minutes discussion led by another center faculty
  • 10 minutes Q&A and conclusion
  • Maximum of 3–5 teaching points as take-home messages

It is hosted by the Foch Hospital in a Microsoft Teams Webinar format.

The discussions are not meant to be comprehensive, but to highlight key points within these respective topics.

Our goal is to include a wide variety of centers and perspectives and facilitate the free exchange of high-quality perioperative education across the global community of lung transplantation centers. We are free from the industry support and no product labels are discussed during our presentations.
